Competition Overview
Ahmed Eljojo Studio invites university students in Gaza to participate in an architectural competition aimed at designing an emergency shelter (shelter) to address the urgent needs of the sector. The competition seeks to inspire students to think creatively and p
resent innovative, sustainable architectural solutions to the challenges faced by local communities during crises.
Challenges
Design a shelter that accommodates four individuals, innovative, sustainable, and transportable, with a total area not exceeding 30 square meters. The shelter must take into account all the challenges faced by displaced populations, including the provision of safe drinking water and sanitation.
It should include:
Bedroom
Living room
Kitchen
Bathroom
Storage
Additionally, the participants may add any other space within the required area.
Evaluation Criteria
The submitted designs will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Innovation and Creativity: Presenting a unique and distinctive idea.
Feasibility: The design’s ability to be implemented using local materials.
Sustainability: Considering environmental and social aspects.
Aesthetics and Functionality: Achieving a design that balances beauty and functionality.
Presentation Clarity: The quality of drawings and submission materials.

1st Prize: $300
2nd Prize: $200
3rd Prize: $100
10 Honorable Mention Certificate of Achievement.
